This Lime Vodka and Cranberry Sparkler is a deliciously refreshing spring or summer cocktail. Made with Deep Eddy Lime Vodka, cranberry juice, and a splash of club soda.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that most people that lived through their early 20s with some type of nightlife experience has come across the classic vodka cranberry, or cape code cocktail, one or two (thousand) times! I honestly haven’t had one since about that time! When I saw that Deep Eddy made a lime vodka version of their popular lemon vodka, I knew I had to take it back to that time!
What goes into a vodka cranberry cocktail?
Your typical vodka cranberry cocktail is exactly as it sounds: Vodka and cranberry juice. It is usually garnished with a lime or topped with a couple squeezes of lime juice. The tartness of the lime is a great accent for the sweetness of the cranberry juice, which is why this Lime Vodka and Cranberry Sparkler recipe is so delicious. It is close to the popular and classic Cape Cod Cocktail, but with a slight variation that takes it to the next level.
How is this cocktail different that the everyday Vodka Cranberry?
This cocktail has the same flavor profile as the typical Cape Cod cocktail, but the actual ingredients are slightly different.
Enter my new obsession: Deep Eddy Lime Vodka.
I’ve been a fan of their lemon vodka for quite some time. One of my more popular recipes is my Vodka Lemonade Spritzer, and it is DELISH. I can already tell the lime version is going to be a regular at my house as well.
For this cocktail, you will need:
- Deep Eddy Lime Vodka- I HIGHLY recommend this exact brand and variety. Just like the lemon variety, it is made with vodka and real lime juice and then lightly sweetened. It’s much better than just a typical lime flavored vodka.
- Cranberry Juice- (I used 100% Cranberry juice from Ocean Spray)
- Club soda
- Fresh lime for garnish
What are my other options for the mixer instead of club soda?
If you want to mix your Lime and Cranberry Vodka Sparkler with something other than club soda, you can try:
- sparkling water
- sprite or 7up
- topo chico
- Prosecco
Come to think of it…. I’m definitely trying this with prosecco.
I would personally recommend sticking to the club soda. It provides a fresh tasting fizzy lift to the drink without adding sweetness.
Do I need a cocktail shaker?
I mean… define “NEED.” You can certainly get away with not using one, but I tend to lean toward using mine more often than not.
You certainly can just pour and mix. But if you are looking for one, I would definitely get a cocktail shaker (affiliate link)
So if you have one, pour a handful of ice in your shaker. Add the lime vodka and cranberry juice. Cover and shake vigorously. Pour over a glass of ice. Finish off with the topper of club soda and garnish with lime. Give it a gentle stir.
DO NOT put the club soda in the shaker and mix! I know, obviously. But I’ve done it absent mindedly and regretted it right away! I frequently will pour the carbonate beverage in the shaker after everything else has been mixed and will strain it all out together, and that’s fine! It gives it a gentle little mix as you pour. But don’t shake it!
And that’s really just about it! I really think you’ll enjoy this slightly more elevated version of the vodka cranberry.

Enjoy! (responsibly)!
