This Cherry Limeade Vodka Cocktail is a delicious boozy version of that delicious fast food treat we all love! Made with cherry vodka, limeade, fresh squeezed lime juice, crisp sparkling water, and just a touch of grenadine, this is a perfect summertime cocktail!

Cherry limeade with fresh cherries and limes around the bottom of the glass.

If you’re like me, you spend this time of year desperately clinging to those last few days of summer, and this boozy cherry limeade is just the way to do it. I’ll show you how I made mine, but as always, you can alter and customize the ingredients to your liking.

What do I need for this Cherry Limeade?

For this Vodka Cherry Limeade, you will need:

    • Cherry Vodka
    • Limeade (I used Simply Limeade)
    • Fresh Limes
    • Sparkling water
    • Grenadine

Personally, I usually enjoy my alcoholic beverages to be more crisp and less sweet. This one is a bit on the sweeter side, but it’s so easy to customize exactly how you like it.

    Two glasses of cherry limeade

For the Cherry Vodka, I’m a huge fan of the Smirnoff brand. I always find that the flavors are good and the quality is great to use as a mixer vodka.

How do I adjust the sweetness level on my Cherry Limeade?

For this particular drink, balancing the grenadine and limeade with the fresh lime juice and sparkling water is key to getting it just how you like it.

I opted to use the Simply limeade just for convenience since it is a premixed lime drink that is already sweetened. It saved me the step of having to make a simple syrup.

Once you mix all of the ingredients together, if you want it a little more sweet, add some more limeade (or grenadine if you want more cherry sweetness specifically). If you need more tart, add more fresh squeezed lime juice. If you like the overall balance, but perhaps need to dilute it a little bit, more sparkling water.

What is the best way to mix all of the ingredients?

For this Vodka Cherry Limeade, one major bonus is you don’t need any fancy equipment! It really is as simple as mixing the ingredients altogether in a glass.

    However.

If you’re like me, I love a good Pin for Pinterest with a photo of the drink.

And that’s pretty much it! Taste your final product and adjust it how you like it. There really isn’t a right or a wrong here. If you hate my ratios, make alterations until it’s perfect for you! Hopefully you’ll find this base as a good starting place to make it delicious to your liking!

    Enjoy!

If you want a more tart and less sweet drink, omit the Simply Limeade and use 4 ounces of fresh lime juice.

    Greetings! Welcome!

Hi there! I hope you’re hungry!  Here you’ll find savory, sweet, indulgent, healthy… whatever is going through my brain on any given day! I love to cook, but I don’t love to follow the rules. I’m a classically trained musician, but not a classically trained chef. I cook what I like, how I like it! But I grew up in the south, so don’t worry, it’s all delicious!
